Well that’s right, carrots weren’t always orange. In fact, most of them were a pinkish red, yellow .l.. well just take a look at the picture. That’s how they are.

Prolly the same reason we get wobbly & squishy when we’re old. This doesn’t answer your question, but it let’s us know we’re not alone. We’re like carrots.
