  1. I wish that you were my Pappa.! You make your boys some great meals. Maybe they are a little light on the greens. I know that you have gone out of your way to make there summer great. Some day they are going to say: “Dad’, can we borrow some bacon?” Peace, Paul

  2. In order to end up with perfect barbecue, the meat needs to be rubbed with salt and all kinds of spices then subjected to hours of fire and smoke. But in the end, it’s all worth it. Juicy, succulent, fork tender meat. Life’s kinda like that too, isn’t it? Your sons are lucky to have such a fantastic pappa, Dr. B! Keep on tending that fire, low and slow.

  3. You’re a fine daddy and could teach all of us a lesson in caring enough to make life a banquet — uh, I mean a barbecue (a great one). Happy Father’s Day!

  4. Hey Everyone,
Thank you very much! Grabbed the kids early this morning and headed out to Sukie’s Country Kitchen for breakfast. Then? Out to the fleamarket for some shopping. Niiiice.

  5. Happy Father’s Day, big boy. You really are the best pappa.
Life — sometimes you feel like you’ve been rubbed with salt (right, Brett?), but you make your own beauty, all smoky and juicy.
    Have a fun day.

  6. 38 years from now, when the beneficial government is supervising our rations of kale and soylent green, your sons will be running an underground fatback and rib delivery service that will make their papa proud. Happy fathers day!

  7. OH! I get it! You are taking a camping trip by way of a coy pond! Great reflection pic! Zack and Eli are taking turns driving while Dr. Biggs tends to the pork roast marinating in the back. Enjoy Father’s Day all next week! You rate a standing ovation!!! BB
