Frypan Fine Art

You, “Hey slackass! Where’s the chile verde post?”
Me, “Um, I can’t find the pitchers.”
You, “Whaddya mean you can’t find the pictures, moron.”
Me, “I uh, well, like I checked boffe computers and they ain’t there.”
You, “Find them asshole.”
I’ll keep looking, I’ll bet they’re here someplace. I think my computer is too big, too many pockets.
I snapped this shot last night while laying down some corn oil for to sear some pork steak action. The colors on the little screen on the camera were even bright and happy. The only photoshopping I did was jack the contrast a bit. Pretty cool, eh?

  1. I thought it was a shark swimming across the pan. And yes, I am still waiting for the chile verde post. *tapping foot impatiently*

  2. Hey Wine,
I need to anyway. While my verde was most excellent, it wasn’t quite what I was after. The poblano peppers that were available to me at the time were too old. So, I had to use a lighter New Mexican version that was a tad on the light side. Oh well …

  3. It’s pork-slaughter week this week at Prather, and I wanna whip up some Biggles-approved chile verde. Don’t let us down, Rev.

  4. Speaking of frypans, i heard you had some comments on retinning on this blog — retinning copper pans. Can’t find ’em though — could you direct me? Thanks. Jean

  5. I hope you finally got it back!! I would be so pssst — more pssster than you. Anyway, I have a beautiful windsor copper pan, maybe more like a confiture (sp), that needs retinning. My husband wants to try to do it, and the company I have had do that work before, Conant Custom Brass, doesn’t do it anymore.
They suggested Atlantic Retinning, and then came back and said they’d heard not great things about them, and gave me a couple of other options, including good luck to my husband because it is not an easy thing, retinning. Does anyone know how to do it?
