Fast Food Treat – ALERT !!!

Ha! Looks as though Wienerschnitzel has a new gift for us! It’s called a Tamale. And this beast comes covered it what looks to be some kind of chili and cheese sauce. After some deliberation we decided the filling is supposed to be beef. It was Ed’s wonderful lunch treat, so I asked him what he thought. His response was, “exceptional”. You can take that however you wish.
If you’re looking for a really great home made looking fresh and tender Tamale, then look no farther! Wienerschnitzel has what you need. Emil says you can get this fine sauce treatment on fries as well …

  1. Oooweee, a gastronomic explosion for sure. Hey, does the tamale come with a free toilet? …and a mop? Hahahahahahaha!

  2. You think the filling is supposed to be beef?! There’s never been a scarier statement. If’n I wants a tamale, I don’t think ‘Schnitzel will be the first place I think of. I think my heart just stopped at the mere thought…

  3. I forgot to smell it and report that, maybe next time. I asked Ed to tell me about the texture and flavors he was experiencing, but he looked ill and wouldn’t speak to me. It was bad enough that he had to wait for me to get my camera and take a picture. It was getting cold I suppose, so he put it in the microwave until the “sauce” was bubbling. That would have made a great animated GIF. Again, maybe next time …

  4. Hey man, I was especially lucky to be able to get a glimpse at the black tray up ended in the garbage. I had my latex gloves on when I flipped the tray over and didn’t realize my organic vapor mask would have come in handy as well.
    Talk about gag reflex.

  5. It seems to me that the question of what is beef is rather less interesting than the question of what beef is.
If the main idea at Der Weinerschnitzel is to move snouts, tails, and various other questionably meaty odds and ends, I think the addition of “tamales” to the menu is a stroke of brilliance.

  6. I’m sorry to say at first I honestly couldn’t tell if you were serious or sarcastic in that original post. We don’t have this wonderful sounding ‘schnitzel place on the East coast. I see we’re lucky now. But about that “meat” controversy- haven’t you noticed the number of Mexican places with names relating to HORSES?

  7. Mmmmm, horse meat.
I’m sure the east coast has a ‘schnitzel alternative. Deep fried corn dogs and chili cheese fries are their specialty, but they have it all. From hamburgers to quite a few different hot dogs. I’ll tell you though, you can only eat there ONCE in a great while. The salt level couldn’t possibly be any higher.

  8. lol thats fabulicious. i think the tamales are great. lol j/k i whant to weinershitsal and got a tamale. gag me. lol well, im off to a vegan meeting,
