Down the street you’ll find Jordan’s Custom Made Bar-B-Que Grills and Smokers. Joe Jordan has been building his custom rigs for about 20 years now. I saw the sign and had to stop in.

He answered the door bell (his house) and we hung out on the front porch for a while yakking. He brought out his scrap book and showed off many of his custom setups. His favorite is a 7 foot butane tank he split in 1/2 and did all sorts of extras on. He said his daughter is the brains in the business but he still builds.

We talked about the changing neighborhood etc. He said all these white folks come over and buy smaller home rigs but then don’t know how to throw a block party. I said he should include those instructions with each Que, as they are uptight white folk. He got quite a laugh out of that comment.
